The Sleeve
Using yarn A, ch32.
R1: hdc into 3rd ch from hook, hdc across the row (30).
R2-16: ch2, hdc across the row (30), fasten off.
Repeat rows 1 to 16 to form the other side.
Make a mr/ch4 method.
R1: into the ring ch2, 2dc, *ch2, 3dc* 3 times, ch2, ss into top of first ch2.
R2: ss across to the first ch2 sp. (ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc) in sp, *(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next space*. Repeat from * to * twice more, ss to first ch2.
R3: ss across to the first ch2 sp. (ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc) in sp, *(3dc) in next sp, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next sp*, repeat from * to * 2 more times, 3dc in next sp, ss to close. Fasten off.
R4: Attach yarn B into any corner sp. (ch1, 3sc, ch2, 3sc), (3sc) into next two sps, (3sc, ch2, 3sc) into corner, repeat around square, fasten off.
Joining
Sew the pocket onto the RS of one of your pieces.
Holding both pieces together with the WS facing each other, attach the yarn to one of the top corners.
R1: ch1, sc in same st, sc along both sides and bottom. In both corners, place (sc, ch2, sc).
Note: you can put the sc wherever feels right along the bottom, I like to put one sc in the side of every hdc and one in between them.
Top
Sc along the top of the sleeve, one side at a time instead of both together, fasten off.
Tie
Attach your yarn into a stitch near the middle of the top, on the back piece. Ch 20, ss into the st 2 stitches away from where you started, fasten off.
Button
Sew on the button.
