sc – single crochet

hdc - half double crochet

dc – double crochet

dc inc - 2 dc in same st

ss – slip stitch

mr - magic ring

Pattern Notes

Turning ch2 counts as a dc.

Apple

Using yarn A, form a mr/ ch4 method.

R1: ch2, 13dc into mr, ss into top of ch2 and close ring.

R2: ch2, dc into same stitch, 2dc in every stitch, ss into top of ch2.

R3: ch2, 2dc in next stitch, 1dc in next to the end of the row, ss into top of ch2.

R4: ch1 (doesn't count as a st), sc in same st, sc, hdc, *dc inc, 2dc* 5 times, 2hdc, 2sc, 2hdc, *2dc, dc inc* 5 times, hdc, 2sc, ss into first sc, fasten off.

Stem

Using yarn B, ch5.

R1: sc into 2nd ch from hook, 3sc. Fasten off.

Leaf

Using yarn C, ch 7.

R1: ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss, sc, 2hdc, sc, 2ss.

Repeat R1 on the other side of the leaf, ss into the first ss and fasten off.

Assembling

Sew the stem and then the leaf onto the top of the coaster.
